They say love is deaf, mute and blind,
but why does it matter to people of our kind,
when the heart melts with her by your side,
you begin the journey of a million smiles.
irrational, impractical and illusional they write,
but have they ever been in love, to get it right,
when the heart melts with her by your side,
you begin the journey of a million smiles.
fear, darkness and pride they protect,
but have they ever gotten past the intellect,
when the heart melts with her by your side,
you begin the journey of a million smiles.
anger, madness and rage they express,
but isn’t that a shame to just suppress,
when the heart melts with her by your side,
you begin the journey of a million smiles.
joy, nourishment and love I feel,
this pure emotion is enough to heal,
when the heart melts with her by my side,
I have embarked on the journey of a million smiles.
