First Embrace

On a cold winter day, when it was snowing outside,
I was engaged very deeply, by your mesmerizing voice,
with a soft tenderness, you guided the flock,
my heart just opened, I was left with no choice.

observing the silence, I accepted this tranquil moment,
warm and nourishing, it was a brilliant feeling,
with my mind halted from its usual scatter,
I had to lie down, and stare into the ceiling.

step by step, as I walked out of the room,
moving towards you, who had revealed your best,
instantly we hugged, for what seemed like eternity,
though it was the first, it was an embrace with zest.

as we looked into each other, and spoke those precious words,
i knew a journey had begun, when I stared into your face,
a new sense of self, was born in you and me,
we are here now, thanks to this first embrace.
